NFL fans have been delighted to see Gardner Minshew's response to an insult from an opposing player.

Minshew, 27, had an amusing sequence with Las Vegas Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby during the Colts' 23-20 win in Week 17.

The Colts and Raiders were playing for their playoff hopes on Sunday.

Crosby, a two-time Pro Bowl defender, is known for his trash-talk and sack celebrations on the field.

During the contest, Inside the NFL cameras picked up a sequence between Crosby and Minshew.

The clip on X, formerly Twitter, showed Crosby attempting to sack Minshew, who avoided the pressure and got the ball out quick.

Crosby could be heard calling Minshew a "little a** boy" while being next to the quarterback.

Minshew would talk to his teammates about the sequence on the sidelines.

"Dude, Maxx Crosby is so damn angry," he said. "He just keeps calling everybody little ass boy. 'Hey, little a** boy.'"

Then, Minshew told his teammates about his response to Crosby, saying: "I'm like 'yeah, I'm little out here. But not always, you know.'"

NFL fans loved Minshew's response to Crosby, with one writing: "Hilarious. Such a part of the game."

Another said: "Minshew is a legend in the making."

"I love Gardner Minshew," a third added.

Crosby, who entered the game with 13.5 sacks, didn't have his typical monster game, posting six total tackles, one quarterback hit, and a tackle for loss.

Minshew, meanwhile, completed 15-of-23 passes for 224 passing yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions.

The Raiders were eliminated from playoff contention with their loss, while the Colts playoff aspirations are still alive.

Indianapolis makes the playoffs with a win against the road team Houston Texans on Saturday night.

It's a win-and-in situation for the Texans, as the Colts can still make the playoffs if they were to lose but the Jacksonville Jaguars were to also lose against the Tennessee Titans.
